We unplugged from the Matrix and followed the white rabbit! We left Florida in October- jumped in our Sprinter Van and we hope to meet others who are doing van life for real life!
I am new to the forum and cant’ seem to see the other replies to your post but I just wanted to say…I hope it’s going well….you all look so happy.
It’s a year later.
You didn’t miss any replies, there just weren’t any…
How’s it going still on the road?
Absolutely, 79 years old, and been a nomad my whole adult life by choice, fully supporting myself while exploring the country. Living my version of the American dream.
What part of Oregon are you in? The PNW is one of my favorite areas.
Hey Fulltimer, We are in the Willamette Valley, rural Lane County…glorious in. Spring and Summer…too much for these arthritic bones in the winter. Lucky enough to retire. We Snowbirded last year for 3 months. Heading out for 4 months soon. Love living outside. Thanks for saying hi. How are you supporting yourself? Where are you now?
We’re currently caravanning with Van Dweller, meandering back towards Miami from from the Minneapolis / Duluth area. We’re somewhat following the Mississippi river South, frequently camping & fishing on it’s shores.
There’s a number of beautiful plantations near St. Francisville Louisiana that we’d like to show the girls for the fall colors.
Then we’ll head for New Orleans before continuing on to Florida. We both have Thousand Trails memberships, so that comes out to under $100/mo in camping fees in beautiful RV parks for the winter.
Van and I have been close friends for 20+ years, and now the women traveling with us have also all become best friends. Traveling together over the summer has been a blast. Imagine, two old nomads, with 6 younger women taking marvelous care of us.
We all still work almost every day from the comfort of our buses. Usually between breakfast & lunch, then have the rest of each day to explore or ???. Each person runs their own online business. Easy work with great pay.
Wonderful….you have it dialed in!
