Understanding BMS Cut Out

I have a newish 100AH LiFePho4 battery powering my van electrics. On my first camping trip it cut out at about 9.6-10 volts (running a coolbox and lights). I recently installed a diesel heater and it cut out at a similar voltage after the running the heater for about half an hour. Each time the battery started at about 13.8 volts (charged by DC or solar).

Now I believe this is the BMS “protecting” the battery, but if so, what’s the use of this battery when it’s supposed to deep cycle and won’t power a diesel heater and lights for an hour? I’ve researched the diesel heater draw and it averages less than 3 amps, so the battery should run it for 30 odd hours.

Thanks for reading and any advice.
