I have an error with my iceco fridge. I have solar to my battery bank, and when the batteries are full, the fridge seems to draw only from the solar panels(which is apparently too unstable and it kicks an E1 error(unstable voltage). But…if the battery isnt full, it will run fine until the battery gets to 100%.
I thought maybe I had the solar charge controller wired wrong. But nope. its right. maybe wire gauge? but it runs fine when on battery.
any ideas what could be wrong?
I have solar panel to charge controller, to fuse, to battery. then out to a small breaker box where wire for fridge is connected. (no fuses ever blow)
its so hard to explain this. But lets say my battery bank is at 95% charge. and is being currently being charged by solar. The fridge will run just fine until the battery bank is fully charged. then it shuts off and errors out. like it doesnt know the battery bank is there. If I then turn off or cover up the solar panel, the fridge will run fine off of the battery bank only
