Hi there, my name is Julie. I have a RAM Simplicity of Promaster.
“Travelling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.”
Ibn Battuta, author of The Rihla, completed in 1355.
In 2023, I had the freedom and wherewithal to take off for five months and travel the US in my sturdy camper van. I drove 28,396 kilometres through the western United States: Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington and home to Vancouver, in time for Christmas.
Travelling solo as a woman in my sixties, I visited extraordinary places and discovered the unequivocal beauty of the United States. I hiked, kayaked, and attended a yoga, meditation, and hiking retreat in Sedona. I also visited places of special interest, from the Four Corners of Mesa Verda to Haight Ashbury and Alcatraz in San Francisco.
I hope to make friends, get help when needed and find out good ways to do new and different things, most especially when I need help with my van.
Look forward to chatting to you all soon. Jule
