Solar and battery issue

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone out there has ever had issues with their van battery dying when it rains outside? Only happens when or after it rains. I’m thinking my solar panels and two batteries in side the van are drawing too much and draining my main van battery under the hood! If this all makes sense!

Greetings & Welcome!

You should have some sort of a battery isolator between your starting battery and your house batteries to prevent this. If you do, it could be malfunctioning, and if you don’t, you need one. They can be checked with a multi-meter.

If you have an isolator and it is working properly, then you could have a bad battery, a bad alternator, or a parasitic drain that isn’t connected to your house batteries or solar system.

Good Luck, and keep us posted!

Cheers!
