Removing rear heater block from renault master

Hi,

I’m trying to remove the rear heater block from my old renault master minibus and I’m not sure how. It has an electrical connector block and 2 hoses running into it.

Any ideas on the best way to remove it? I’ve added a couple of photos.

Thanks,

Scott

Greetings & Welcome!

Why remove it instead of incorporating it into your build?

Cheers!

Hi,

Thankyou. It’s mainly it’s location, it’s in an awkward position. I did think about moving it but that’s a bit tricky to do thought it might be easier to just remove it.

Thanks,

Scott

I’ve removed one of these in a vanagon before. If it’s setup the same the engine coolant run through it. They actually make a delete kit for the vanagons as they tend to have a leaky valve that also is plastic and gets brittle with age.

The delete kit is just a U shaped piece of pipe that connects the hoses and two rubber plugs to plug the holes in the body. Then it’s just removing the wires or leaving them there and pulling the fuse in the case you ever want to add it back in later.
