Propane inside van

We have an airport shuttle bus we’re converting into a vehicle we can travel around in. The problem is that there isn’t a good spot to carry the propane around outside the vehicle, but we do have space under the bed. Will there be a problem transporting propane there, providing we have a combustible gas leak detector? Thanks

Build a propane locker. It’s an airtight box for the propane tank(s) vented to the outside. Since propane is heavier than air the vent should be in the bottom. Also install a propane detector inside the van to detect propane leaks from your stove, fridge, etc.

There are tutorials for building propane lockers online and on youtube.
