Hi. I wish to install an opening window in the sliding side passenger door of my Citroën Relay 2019 mid wheelbase model. I can find lots of opening Windows with the opening section towards the front of the window right behind the passenger seat. However I have seen them on other vehicles with the opening at the rear of the window, which wood lineup nicely with my cooker for ventilation purposes. Can anybody recommend a good window, with the opening at the rear and preferably flush sliding opening please?
As an alternative I have considered fitting a right-hand window in the left side which would then put the front opening at the back. Several suppliers and manufacturers have told me I cannot do this as the drainage channels won’t work and the curvature of the van sides will not allow the window to fit. As it would be a right hand window I’d be fitting the drainage channels and lock mechanism would still be at the bottom of the unit and on the citron relay I can’t see that is any change in the contour of the van sides from right to left. Anyone with any experience of this please or any suggestions welcome. Many thanks, Roger
