Budgets can be a bugger, but there are vans & RV’s available to fit almost any budget. You may need to lower your expectations though, and go older & cheaper. Personally, I much prefer the older American models.
Normally I search online classifieds, and if I don’t find what I’m looking for, I expand the search area. My current van was many hours away, but it was what I wanted, the price was right, and it has served me well for 11+ years and counting.
Vehicles are typically a depreciating asset. I much prefer to let somebody else take the hit on depreciation, and get all the bugs of newer vehicles sorted out. Once they’re old enough, the lemon’s are gone and the survivors are the good ones. They’re the ones I prefer.
