Hello everyone,
I really hope that everyone is having a great and wonderful Sunday. I thought I would get your thoughts on this. I am single never married. No kiddos, but my fur babies which I have 2 dogs. I have been looking for a place to move to because I have to leave where I am by April. I have looked everywhere and have really thought more and more about the van life. The problem for me is that everyone buy my mom thinks I am crazy. I have watched and read a lot about making sure you have a support system. Well that is my problem I really don’t have that. I am really hoping and looking forward to making friends and a support system as I get on road. Know all. that do you think it is a wise decision or a stupid one. I look forward to hearing what you guys and gals think.

Everybody needs to be their own support system. Sure, we can make friends along our journeys, but many will be very temporary. For long time friends and family, we’re as close a phone. Teach them how to do video chats.
We need to fully support ourselves, physically, mentally, & financially. Even if we pick up a partner along the way, each person should be fully capable of supporting themselves. Dependency is never a good thing.
Jobs & money are the most important thing. Do you know how to get instant jobs wherever you travel? Walk in day labor services always had work for me when I needed it, and with same day pay. Money can fix more problems than just about anything else, and a healthy emergency fund can buy us a lot of peace of mind.
I would also give consideration to whether van life is actually your best choice. Motorhome life can be whole lot cheaper, and be move in ready. While I have done years in camper vans, I think my favorite choice is a motorhome towing a run about. Motorhomes make it a lot easier to have friends over, or even travel with you for a while. You can get really nice older motohomes for under $2500. A friend recently bought a really nice one for $800! Made it from Michigan to Florida with no problems.

Thank you for your thoughts and you gave me a lot to think about. I need to really look at see what I can do. I am looking a number of options. Thank you again for your advice and your thoughts.
