I own a 2021 Fiat Ducato 2.3D Bus/van size L3H2
I hope to get some inspiration and maybe some plans on how to make an elevated bed. The bed must be 140x190 cm and I need to be able to elevate it because I have an electric wheelchair and a handicap lift in the back of my van.
The wheelchair must be able to stand under the bed.
I love the outdoors and was 12 years in the danish army - and it calms my anxiety and PTSD to be by the sea and in nature so be able to build a bed and use my van a lot more would be medicine for my body and soul
So I hope someone has some great ideas.
I need to make it myself because the Bed kits I found online is so expensive and often they don’t deliver to Denmark.
Rather than an elevated bed, I would suggest a sofa/bed behind the drivers seat, and the kitchen/bathroom on the passengers side, with perhaps the room to maneuver your wheelchair between them.

Thank you for your input to my Van
I have a special front Seat with a 6-point turning console so I can’t put anything behind my front seat.
Because my electric wheelchair is a bit big, an elevated bed I will be able to use all that “dead” space over my wheelchair
I am so fortunate that I can walk very small distances if I use crutches -that means I usually don’t need to use my wheelchair when I am in my car
