Hi, I’ve seen a lot of new people on here so not sure if the community is sick of us but I am looking for some pointers/tips/criticisms.
I’ve only done 2 day of research, and even though I’ve had experience in building grow rooms (yes those types of grows rooms) this is completely new to me.
I’m looking at a ram pro master, but hoping I can find a Nissan nv. Regardless I’m planning to insulate the bottom with 3m insulate between the ridges and top it off with expanded foam (not the spray on) then lay a linoleum carpet on top. The 3m wouldn’t be squished and should operate as expected. The sides I’m planning on doing the same except with bubble foam (commonly used in my grow rooms) so I have many laying around. Again, 3m insulate between ridges which shouldn’t be squeezed at all.
The top maybe just insulate honestly. I’m fine with this level of comfortability. I plan to cook outside or with doors open.
No wires, will have a jackery to power my electronics. And absolutely no spray foam. I realize there is a huge community of spray foam advocates, but to me personally the metal is too strong of a conductor to apply spray foam onto. The heat will cause chemical leakage into the air. It’s great on wood but not on metal. But this is just my opinion, I’m a lousy IT tech/grower.
Feel free to leave any tips or criticisms. I don’t take anything personally, just looking for advice. Only been doing 2 days worth of research.
Edit: I am open to working with wood also.
