Im looking for an ice maker. Needs to energy efficient of course. Need it for the summer!

Do you want the ice for drinks, a cooler, or ???
I have a 3-way RV fridge, bought used for $50. I keep it turned down to be all freezer, then I freeze 1 gallon jugs which I use in a cooler, along with groceries. Life is easier with a big freezer. The gallon jugs will last the better part of a week, and nothing in the cooler gets soggy.
For drinks I have a stack of four twist to release mini ice cube trays along one wall of the freezer. Cheap, easy, & handy.
I don’t know how energy efficient they are, but I frequently see counter top ice makers in thrift stores. Personally, I’ve never been impressed by the ice they make.

Just for drinks. Sometimes i don’t want to.go into town. I have an alpicool that is either a fridge or a freezer. But if i use it as a freezer, i have to take the food out. The ice maker will only be used occasionally during the summer.
