Living in your van? Interested in seasonal work as a Lift Operator at a ski resort in California?

If you live in your van and want to try out your build for a winter in Mammoth Lakes Ca, I have a position for you. Ski season begins in November, and ends in April. Entry level position @ $20/hr, flexible work schedule and an overall fun job. Search Mammoth Mountain jobs, and find Lift Operations. (sorry this site will not let me post a link) Feel free to apply if you 1. live in your van/car 2.do not mind harsh winter conditions 3. are interested in fun full time work.

Hey! Does Mammoth let employees park in the lots for free?/ Have a designated place that employees may park their rig? I’m a snowmaker and cat driver (used to be lift ops!) and am definitely interested in trying out Mammoth!

Hello! I apologize for the late response. So I have been working with our HR department on providing resources for the employees we have living in our vehicles. So far I’ve been able to acquire a parking lot for particularly nasty storm systems in previous winters. However, there is a fair amount of BLM land around as well as forest service land to which many of our employees have been able to rotate sites through. I also have lived in my vehicle through the winter season and although it is not easy living, it is possible and kinda fun! Either way, feel free to apply, and I will be happy to look over your application and speak with you about an employment opportunity.

Hey Adam! Just ran across this post. I’ll be working a different position on the mountain this winter, but am interested in finding out more about any resources available for employees living in their vehicles, as I’ll be in my van. I worked at Mammoth last winter as well (and was in my van), so I’m familiar with several of the typical spots. But any additional resources would of course be a huge help. That’s exciting about the parking lot you acquired, as it’s always a concern finding somewhere safe to park when it’s going to dump. Anyway, would love to get in touch with you (or someone in HR) for more info. Let me know, thanks!
