JP Combi Diesel

Hi, Came across a thread on this group whilst searching for anyone who has actually used a JP heater. Wouldn’t let me post on the thread so here I am!!
Names John, live on one of the Scottish Islands and nearing completion of a ducato conversion
Fitted a JP combi to my recent van build and whilst it appears to work Ok I do have some concerns with the operation. If anyone out there is familiar with the day to day operation I’d love to here back

Greetings & Welcome!

While I’m not familiar with that particular product, I have a huge problem with any of my essentials requiring power, or potentially being unreliable in any way. Too many people find themselves in dire straits due to power/equipment failures.

For this reason, if I’m building a rig, I use my dirt cheap but reliable methods from the beginning, and if I buy a rig that’s already built, I’ll add mine as backups.

So I make my essentials (heating, cooling, cooking, table top firepit, and fridge/freezer) liquid candle powered. To make the heating & cooling fan forced, but electricity free, I use heat powered wood stove fans. For my fridge/freezer I took a 3-way RV fridge/freezer and converted it to run using a liquid candle instead of propane. I’m using cooking oil available at any store to fuel everything.

Cheap, simple, convenient, & reliable for the win.

If you like what you have, then all is well, and you should be able to find any documentation you need online, but I suggest you ALWAYS have a backup plan.

Cheers!
