I’ve been doing trips in the van so far, but I’m thinking of going full time, because I meet good people along the way.
I’ve been using a UWV (Universal White Van) on trips for a while and I like being able to blend in anywhere, so there are no windows, and there is a sealed wall behind the seats, so no condensation inside the windscreen as a giveaway. Yes, I have checked ventilation and I can open the rear doors and sliding door, even if the central locking fails. That is important!
The good part is that if I arrive somewhere late, I can park almost anywhere and nobody will even notice. Even a trading estate if there is nowhere else. The bad bit is not being able to see the views until I open the doors.
Apart from “Leave no trace” I’ll just add something a friend lives by: 4 words serving him all his adult life. “Be kind. Don’t lie.” and I try to remember those day to day.
Happy travels.
