I am nearing retirement and building up a standard roof 4x 4 Sprinter for extended road trips with the wife, and MTB outings for myself. We are north of Seattle so pretty much anywhere in the US is a road trip for us!
We purchased our van completely bare inside as a cargo, and I have been slowly building it up. Insulation, floor, walls, ceiling, vent, fan, wheel wheel boxes, and some limited wiring for puck lights and DC refrigerator.
Also inside is L track, and a way to mount the bike with both wheels on between the wheel wheel cabinets. I don’t trust myself with a full DIY electrical system, so I bought an Eco flow all in one system that is currently powering the vent fan, puck lights, and refrigerator. I installed a DC – DC charger for it, the Eco flow 800 W charger. I don’t have a second alternator so I limit the power to under 400 W and that seems to be working fine.
Anyway, I will be browsing around and participating. I have learned a lot on the Sprinter – source forum as well.
