Fridge question

Van Dweller, you seem to know a lot about fridges may be you know the answer.

I have propane RV fridge that had been making annoying cracking noises. I had a tech from the official service center look at it, clean burner/flue, and tell me all is working perfectly fine, but he couldnt figure out the reason for noises (and that service center is right by noisy freeway)

I was able to find the reason for noises later: its thermal expansion/contraction noises from the flue metal. If I squeeze the flue - the noise stops. May be its getting old, may be corrosion inside (the tech said nothing was rusted, but its galvanized metal chimney I think). Cleaning the flue only made noises louder

Short of replacing the flue any ideas how to stop those noises?

I use 12 volt fridges. Can talk about them if you like.

I use my fridge in propane mode
I guess will start with adding flue insulation or/and a metal brace to compress the flue and see if it makes any difference
