Ecoworthy 100Ah lithium batteries - what size fuse?

Hello, I’m trying to work out what size fuses I need to buy. Please can someone advise?

I have 2x 100Ah Ecoworthy lithium batteries, and a “Victron Energy 500VA 12-volt 230V AC pure sine wave inverter”. I also have the VICTRON DC-DC 12V 30A CHARGER. I’ve opted for 6AWG cable and plan to connect the batteries in parallel.

New to all things electrical whilst doing a vivaro conversion, so any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

For the two devices, your manual should provide fuse sizing/table, if it does not I’d confirm with the manufacturer, they should be able to email something. Dc-dc charger for example would have high inrush current due to capacitors and the manufacturer knows exactly what this is allowed to be, they might state you need 60amp fuses for that 30amp charger. Inverter fuse is probably around 50amps (125% of steady current, rounded) but again confirm with the manufacturer.

Then, the fuse rating shouldn’t be higher that the wire’s max ampage, which depends not only on gauge but also on the type of wire, you dont want the wire to overheat before the fuse blows. So if you have something with 55 ampage that can run 60+ amps current at peak I’d question if its the right gauge or type of wire.
