Do we need side windows?

Getting started on a conversion with a ProMaster. Original Cargo configuration doesn’t have side windows. We want rear windows, but were planning on leaving the sides solid. I figure we’d have the slider open when we’re camping, so it would really be more about visibility on the road. People are trying to talk us in to side windows. Do we need them? Anybody got experience with a conversion without side windows?

A 360° view keeps me safe, and makes the cramped space feel much bigger.

It may depend on what brings you joy. On my last trip, I had to spend a night in a hotel while my RV was in the shop. I was so happy to get back in the RV the next day. I tried to figure out why.

It had to do with the light coming in from all directions, and the bounteous fresh air, and the wonderful view of nature.

If we hadn’t had those windows, I don’t think camping would have been very fun.

But this is all about you. What is it about camping that brings you joy? If the windows don’t contribute, then you don’t need them.
