DIY screens for non standard windows?

Hi, just joined this forum.
We purchased a DIY tear-drop style camper project from someone and put in the finishing touches.

The person had screens with magnet tape for the windows, but on our first trip out we realized that the magnets didn’t hold at all, and had to ducktape the screen to survive.
The window frame isn’t made of metal, so they placed strips of what I guess is metal tape (?) so that the screen’s magnet tape would hold (it doesn’t). If I buy stronger magnet tape, it might not hold or mosquitos are sure to enter between the strips of “metal” tape.

Would anyone who has MacGyvered screens have suggestions for us? It’s to cover half of this window (slides open). It must be removable to close the window.

Thank you, any advice is appreciated!

Greetings!

A) You put the screen on whichever side of the window which will let you open/close it from the inside.

B) I would probably choose velcro. That will allow a good seal all the way around, while keeping it removable in case of emergency. You might need to go around the whole window to create the best seal.

Cheers!
