I’ve been looking into diesel heaters for a few days now because I need something that works well in winter especially when the power goes out and I’m outdoors. I read reviews from The New York Times Consumer Reports and Popular Mechanics. They suggest these two heaters are good choices:

I’m stuck on which one to pick and could really use your advice.
I plan to use the heater in a room sometimes outside when I’m camping or working in the garage and during power outages. I care most about how fuel it uses how safe it is, how quiet it runs and how long it will last.
Can you recommend one of these heaters? Do you have any experience, with them that I could learn from?
