Hello all!

I came across some old posts regarding what is the best way to deal with rust on your vehicle. So I’d like to put it out there that I had great success doing body work for my first time in summer '21. I used an epoxy paint that is intended to be used on bare metal. Used a grinder to take off existing rust and brake cleaner to clean off any residues left behind. Then I use the following product- a POR-15 product:

No sign of rust returning my work and that is through almost 2 Canadian winters now. It claims rust prevention & so far I agree! :wink:

Hi! This is awesome. Which version of this direct-to-metal paint did you use, and did you use it as a primer of sorts and then a different automotive paint over the top?

Thank you for posting this. We haven’t yet decided about paint, but this may be helpful in the future for us.
