Has anyone added a power lock/unlock button on a door with power locks, but only a mechanical unlock stem? I’d like to add a power unlock button on my rear and side doors. Let’s get creative.
By power lock, do you mean you want to be able to push a button and lock/unlock your side doors?
That is exactly what I am talking about. My Ford Transit has locks that can be unlocked by a button on the front doors as well as the key fob. The rear and side doors do not have a button, I would like to add one. My guess is that it would take a momentary three way switch and two diodes as to not back feed power into the system. Can anyone confirm this assumption?
