Greetings!
I still believe that older vans & motorhomes from the 70’s with Dodge drivetrains are the most reliable available.
There were a ton of mid 70’s motorhomes sold, and many can still be found dirt cheap, in excellent condition, and often with very low miles. They’re cheap to own, cheap to license & insure, cheap to repair, and were built in a era when quality still had meaning.
The Class C motorhomes aren’t much bigger or harder to drive than a regular full sized van, but they’re move in ready with all the amenities anybody truly needs. Many already have generators too. I like to switch out the interior light bulbs with LED’s, but other than that I keep them pretty much original.
There are many models & floor plans to choose from, and it’s pretty easy to find one that just feels like home instantly. They are legitimate & comfortable tiny homes on wheels.
Cheers!
